Chennai, Nov 14: Oracle Academy and ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu have teamed up on a new initiative to help students prepare for successful information technology careers.
This effort will combine ICTACT’s I-Mentor programme, a school-college mentoring programme to nurture teachers and students in schools and colleges across Tamil Nadu, and the Oracle Academy’s Java Fundamentals curriculum and “Getting Started with Java Using Alice” workshops to help foster student knowledge and interest in computer science, engineering and technology.
The I-Mentor programme is designed to encourage students to go beyond ordinary school activities and build an aptitude to pursue IT industry jobs. The programme seeks to strengthen interpersonal relationships among students, teachers, peers, and academicians, says a joint press release.
